For State Senate, 28th District: Liz Krueger

First elected in a special election, Liz Krueger has represented the Upper East Side and Yorkville in the State Senate since 2002.  Although the district was for a long time represented by a Republican, Senator Krueger managed to turn the district from solid red to blue in a very short amount of time.  Since then, she has been an active and aggressive voice for progressive policies and the Democratic caucus in Albany, and currently serves as the ranking member of the Senate Finance Committee.  Certainly one of the most popular local politicians in New York City, Senator Krueger's leadership and principled liberal beliefs will help shape our state after the Democratic Party retakes the Senate majority this fall!

The club is honored to have had Senator Krueger speak at our May endorsement meeting.  We are looking forward to helping her secure a place on the primary ballot, for which she does not yet have any challengers, and successfully campaign for another term in office this November!
