Gabriel Panek, President, is in his third year of law school at NYU, after which he will be working at a private law firm in the city. His political experience includes one year as a union organizer for CIR/SEIU, and various campaign positions including deputy field director for now-State Senator Gustavo Rivera.
Frank Wilkinson, Vice President, graduated from The Haverford School and Princeton University. He had a career as a book editor before writing his 1981 bestselling novel Bygones. In the mid-80s he got involved in politics, became president of the East Side Democratic Club, and served for 16 years as that club's district leader until 2013. He has served as a judicial delegate for 20 years.
Saul Nadel, Treasurer, developed an understanding of campaign finance issues through involvement in numerous political campaigns. He received his BA in Philosophy, Politics and Law from Binghamton University, his MBA in Accounting from Baruch College, and is a licensed CPA in the state of New York.
Teresa Malyshev, Recording Secretary, has served as the Climate Change Leader of Upper Eastside for Change and an active participant in Organizing for America. She worked for 19 years as a Policy Analyst at the International Energy Agency with a focus on energy economics in developing nations. She has a Ph.D. in Economics from Duke University.
Jerry Ferguson, Corresponding Secretary, is a partner in the New York Office of the Baker Hosteler law firm, practicing in the the areas of Internet and Social Media Law. He received a B.A. and J.D. from the University of Virginia
Lynne Feibelmann, member-at-large, was elected a Judicial Delegate in the 2016 Primary and has been a member of the Democratic New York County Committee since 2013. She holds a bachelor's degree from Brandeis University and a master's degree from Boston University.
Arlene Kayatt , member-at-large, lived on the UES over 40 years and have been active in local politics. Prior to becoming an attorney, she was an Assistant Professor of Business at Queensborough Community College, and an editor and reporter for Our Town newspaper. She presently write a column for the paper.
Matt Lombardi, member-at-large, is a practicing attorney, who has advocated on progressive issues on the state and local level. He is a graduate of Rutgers University.
David Menegon, member-at-large, has held leadership positions in more than 20 community and no-profit originations advocating for seniors, children and veterans. He is a member of Community Board 8, and the importance of engaging local community groups, and associations, to develop consensus and recommendations to City Agencies.
Abraham Salcedo, member-at-large, is an attorney and a CPA. He is a New York County Committee member as well as a member of Community Board 8, co-chairing its Environment & Sanitation and Street Life Committees. Abraham received a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Accounting from NYU, and J.D. from Fordham University School of Law.
Ben Wetzler, member-at-large, is a Senior Policy Analyst at the New York State Division of Housing and Community Renewal. He formerly served as an Analyst with the New York State Governors Sage Commission. He is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University.
