Part A (south of 78th Street; Roosevelt Island)
Ben Wetzler (voteben.nyc): Ben has had an extensive career in public service. He was born and raised here on the Upper East Side and moved back to the neighborhood in 2016. After graduating from Johns Hopkins University, Ben spent three years working for the State Division of the Budget in Albany. There, he helped lead efforts to streamline the State bureaucracy and deliver better performance for New Yorkers from their government. He now works as a senior policy analyst at the State Division of Housing and Community Renewal developing affordable housing policy and working to improve the enforcement of the State’s tenant protection and rent stabilization laws.
Esther Yang (voteesther.org): Esther is a former board member of the Organization of Chinese Americans and a former Bellevue Hospital Community Advisory Board member. She has worked with Comptroller John Liu as his Community Coordinator. Besides volunteering as a Community Organizer, Esther teaches and runs various after-school programs and an anti-bullying program that encourages kids to be kind and be great leaders. She is endorsed by former Comptroller John Liu.
Part B (north of 78th Street)
Kim Moscaritolo (votekim.org): Kim is the female district leader for the 76th Assembly District, Part B. She has served in this position since 2015. Prior to her election as district leader, Kim served as president of the Four Freedoms Democratic Club (2014) and president of the Manhattan Young Democrats (2012), among other leadership positions. Her reelection campaign is endorsed by Rep. Carolyn Maloney, State Senator Liz Krueger, Assembly Member Rebecca Seawright, Council Member Ben Kallos, and former Council Member Jessica Lappin.
