Four Freedoms Democratic Club Blasts ICE Murder of Renee Nicole Good, Calls on Gov. Hochul to Protect New Yorkers

Four Freedoms Democratic Club is outraged by the murder of Renee Nicole Good, a 37-year-old Minneapolis resident, by an ICE agent. We are outraged that Trump and his administration is lying to the American people about what happened; it is the Trump Administration that has led our country to this dark moment.

The Trump administration’s deployment of ICE agents across the U.S. has turned American communities into occupied zones. Masked federal agents operating without accountability, refusing to provide badge numbers or judicial warrants, and murdering people — including neighbors bearing witness to illegal kidnappings and immigration detainments — represent a dangerous escalation of federal authority that should alarm every person who values the rule of law.

We join Governor Walz, Mayor Frey, Senator Tina Smith, and Representative Ilhan Omar in demanding the immediate withdrawal of all ICE agents from Minneapolis, and we also demand that ICE agents leave New York City and every other city they’ve infiltrated. Governor Hochul must act immediately to protect every New Yorker from ICE abuses, including maintaining and strengthening New York as a sanctuary state. We urge all community members to participate in Know-Your-Rights training seminars to safely defend our neighbors from reckless and dangerous acts by federal immigration officials.

The Four Freedoms Democratic Club stands with immigrant communities and all New Yorkers facing similar threats from this administration’s deadly and unconstitutional tactics.
